- Maria Guerrero, Chief Executive Officer – An entrepreneur and leader in the field of business development and operations, Maria has an extensive background in corporate practice development and decision support systems. As a business leader she expanded sales in the U.S. and Latin America for large U.S.-based aviation services companies. Maria served as a senior member of the American Red Cross Biomedical and Disaster Services Divisions where she worked to implement acquisition polices and best practices throughout a vast network of product and service providers to ensure coordinated responses to regional, national and international emergencies. She created Acima in 2012 to provide effective solutions to the business and technical challenges government and industry face today. Ms. Guerrero is a passionate and creative leader in advancing efforts to improve science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. She holds a MBA in International Business from The George Washington University.
- The Honorable Robert T. Francis II, Technical Advisor - As former Vice Chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board, Bob is one of the world's leading advocates for aviation and transportation safety. He led efforts to modernize the NTSB to deal with complex transportation accidents and to help other nations created effective independent safety organizations modeled along the lines of the NTSB. Bob has forged new alliances between aircraft manufacturers, airline operators, airport owners, and pilots to achieve the astounding safety record achieved in the U.S. aviation industry. Bob has served on the Executive Committee of the Flight Safety Foundation’s Board of Governors and the Foundation’s ICARUS Committee, a group dedicated to reducing human error in the cockpit. Prior to the NTSB, Bob served as the FAA's Senior Representative to Western Europe and North Africa and earlier was in charge of all FAA activities in Central and South America as well as the Caribbean. The Secretary of Homeland Security recently appointed Bob to serve as a senior member of TSA’s Aviation Security Advisory Committee. He has also a distinguished member of NASA's Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel. He is a member of the NBAA Safety Committee, the French Academy of Air & Space, the London Guild of Pilots and Navigators, the Wings Club of New York, a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and Chairman of the Society's Washington Branch, and a member of the Aero Club of Washington. Bob received his A.B. from Williams College and attended Boston University and the University of Ibadan, Nigeria; he holds a commercial pilot certificate with instrument and twin-engine ratings.
